Job Title: Junior Project Manager

Reporting to: Senior Project Manager/ Head of Retainers

Salary: £28,000 per annum

Overview of role:

As a Junior Project Manager, your role encompasses the management of existing smaller retainer accounts under a Senior Project Manager. This will include liaising with client contacts, reporting on progress, client development task updates and management within our studio and escalation of any risk or opportunities.

Responsibilities:

Client Liaison and Relationship Management:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are understood and addressed.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to manage task briefs/scope, timelines, and expectations.
  • Maintain a high level of client satisfaction.

Task Planning and Execution:

  • Translate client requirements into actionable task briefs.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to allocate resources effectively and ensure timely completion of project tasks.
  • Monitor task progress, identify risks, and escalate to mitigate issues for successful delivery.
  • If required, attend client strategy sessions to gather insights and ensure alignment with client goals ensuring actions and notes are maintained and circulated to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Actively input into Wash-Up sessions post task delivery, gathering information to push towards marginal gains and best practice.

Resource Allocation and Management:

  • Coordinate with technical departments/team leaders to allocate resources based on client requirements and priorities.
  • Make recommendations for the most appropriate resource to manage issues or escalations.

Communication and Expectation Management:

  • Maintain accurate project records within internal systems to track progress, milestones, and client communications.
  • Ensure clear and transparent communication with clients regarding task status, updates, and any changes to the project plan or timeline.
  • Manage client expectations effectively by providing realistic timelines and addressing any concerns or issues proactively.
  • Communicate to the line manager and wider senior team any client concerns so that they can be addressed and managed.
  • Facilitate Wash-Up sessions post task delivery to gather insights for continuous improvement and best practices.

Support to Senior PM and Head of Retainer:

  • Support Senior PM with requested tasks for the company’s commercially larger accounts.
  • Support with reporting and administrative tasks that are provided to the clients on a monthly basis outlining hours worked, tasks in progress and industry insights.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Ideal (but not essential) has experience managing projects/clients in a web development agency or similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey client requirements to technical stakeholders.
  • Has strong organisational and time management skills.
  • High level of administrative prowess, attention to detail, and highly organised nature.
  • Strong numerical skills to feed into client reporting
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and change and excited to work in a fast paced environment
