Ada & Ina

From Magento complexity to Shopify simplicity: Ada & Ina’s next chapter

Ada & Ina Fabrics is a UK interiors brand specialising in high quality linen, particularly wide width fabric that reduces the need for joins in curtain making. Alongside fabric by the metre and linen bedding, the business produces curtains, Roman blinds, relaxed Roman blinds, bedspreads, valances and cushion covers, all made in house. The range runs to more than 1,500 fabrics across 200 plus designs and shades, sold to retail homeowners and to trade interior designers.
Their need.
  • Migrate from Magento to Shopify
  • Deliver a seamless native Shopify journey for configuring and pricing bespoke curtains, blinds and other products
  • Rationalise 1,500+ fabrics and overlapping categories to create a clearer customer and SEO experience
  • An international foundation ready for international expansion
  • Give the internal team greater control over day-to-day catalogue and content management without developer reliance
Their challenges.
  • A resource-heavy platform meant routine updates were slow, costly and dependent on technical support.
  • A large fabric catalogue and multiple made-to-measure products had created overlapping categories that competed in search
  • Outdated website design with heavy reliance on developers, requiring full redesign
  • Reporting relied heavily on manual processes and spreadsheets
  • Existing EU trading required a more scalable approach to international markets
"Quickfire were a fantastic team to work with. They combined a relaxed, no-fuss approach with a high-level of professionalism and technical expertise, successfully pushing the limits of what Shopify could do."

  • Used Shopify’s native capabilities wherever possible to reduce third-party apps, costs and platform complexity
  • Gated trade accounts with account level pricing through Shopify’s native B2B functionality, replacing manual trade discounting
  • Rebuilt the core made-to-measure experience natively within Shopify as a dedicated development workstream
  • A rebuilt fabric sample journey, the brand’s strongest leading indicator of future revenue
  • Migrated the full catalogue and customer data while rationalising collections and implementing a comprehensive redirect and SEO plan.
  • Configured Shopify Markets for UK and EU trading, with geolocation prompting and a German-language storefront on the client’s own German domain.
  • Partners (Blink SEO, Syncer)
And was the client happy?
"They consistently rose to the challenge, responded quickly to any issues and remained calm under pressure. From discovery and design through to implementation and launch, the whole process was handled professionally and collaboratively. The result is a much more complete website that has received positive feedback from our customers. We genuinely enjoyed working with the team and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Quickfire.” - Soile Makkonen, Company Owner
